Medical Assistant - Back Office/Administrative/Medical Receptionist job description

• Room and vital patients
• Review histories, medications, allergies and HPI in the chart
• Return phone calls
• Get prior authorizations
• Schedule surgeries
• Call patients with results
• Review all staff and patient messages
• Answer phones
• Welcome patients
• Check in patients
• Verify insurance
• Collect co-payments or other invoices due
• Schedule appointments
• Check out patients
• Stock rooms in the mornings and keep inventory log updated
• Check email/online appointments scheduled/after hours messages
• Be flexible and able to take on other tasks in the office, including sometimes vitals and rooming of patients

Compensation will be based on experience 
Pay Scale/Ranges:$21.00-$41.50/hour (and the hourly equivalent for salaried employees).**Employees actual pay rate will depend on a host of factors including, without limitation, job location, specialty, skillset, education, and experience. The patey scale/ranges shown are representative of the pay rates for the job title reflected above, but an employees actual pay rate will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
