INPATIENT CLINDOC ANALYST I - EPIC - IT EPIC

Salary Range: $37.3800 - $57.4600 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Applications Analyst I is responsible for configuring, testing, implementing and supporting the clinical, financial, administrative, and/or other healthcare information systems used for the delivery of patient care and/or other supporting functions of the organization. Oversees practices and processes to ensure integrity, safety and availability of all data and applications as part of the organization’s systems, supporting the goals and objectives of the customer as well as business needs of Hoag.
Key functions include:
• Collaborates with key stakeholders, end users and other members of the business teams to optimize system configuration, function and access. • Evaluates problem tickets and service requests, customer requests for system changes, data retrieval requests, system performance problems and optimization opportunities, and participate in the timely resolution of these activities.
• Responsible for the build and maintenance of various system dictionaries, profiles, tables and other configuration points.
• Identifies system enhancement requests and works with the team to communicate them to the vendor as applicable
• Tests the system, including any configurations, customizations and new releases, prior to production implementation. Works with end-users to assist with the design and testing of system reports and communicate changes to end users and other staff as applicable
• Participates as a team member in various projects
• Prepares for and participates in system design, validation and/or remediation sessions
IT Department EPIC
The EPIC Application Analyst is the primary support contacts for the Epic Inpatient ClinDoc application. Responsible for coordinating all issues that arise during the project for their application areas and must be very knowledgeable about the organization's policies and business operations.
Education and Experience
- Required: Zero to one year experience and/or training with healthcare information systems and terminology.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must pass Epic Sphinx test assessment
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Zero to two or more years’ experience with the application, module or equivalent system as assigned.
• Zero to two or more years’ experience working in a Health Care Application Services department, preferably within an acute care environment. • Epic Super User or Epic Trainer in Inpatient ClinDoc or RN working in Epic Hospital.
• Proficient with Microsoft office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project
IT Department EPIC only
EPIC Applications Analysts at level one are required train and obtain specific EPIC Module knowledge and certification in the EPIC Application area they are assigned to.
License Required
Current CA driver’s license for local travel
