The Opportunity:
The social team at Netflix is on the pulse of conversation among our consumers — not just listening, but participating in and starting thoughtful, hilarious, exciting discussions with fans across social. We’re looking for a social expert to get audiences excited about our slate of mobile games, from casual players to gamers and everything in between.
We’re looking for a Games Social Manager role to connect audiences with all of the amazing mobile games for every mood state - a brain break, a quest, a challenge, or world-building story games to extend their fandom. This role will develop social strategy for our key games priorities, and ongoing editorial promotion woven into the fabric of slate and seasonal moments, as well as the always-on content strategy of our brand.
The right fit should have a social background, games marketing experience, and excellent editorial judgment to balance the needs of our business with how to reach the right audience.
UCAN Social Managers are responsible for the entirety of a social campaign on their assigned titles and slates. They not only understand social marketing and the digital landscape, but also the unique Netflix social ecosystem and finding the most effective way to translate our title strategies across that ecosystem. They must work well cross functionally to align social strategy to larger marketing strategies and communicate specific social goals effectively to all partners. Their goal is to help Netflix break through on social, to generate interest and ultimately conversation - delivering the full suite of content to support a title across the totality of the planned social ecosystem for the entire duration of a title campaign .
We are seeking a highly driven, self-motivated person who loves games, pop culture and understands how people use social to discover their next favorite thing. You are always learning and testing new ideas. You are comfortable scrutinizing your own ideas, and you are always the first to ask “how could this have been better?” This job will require you to juggle many different kinds of short- and long-term tasks including coordinating with different parts of the company, producing and giving notes on video creative, copywriting, defining high-level strategy for titles, and much more — and nimbly move through all these responsibilities with ease. You will serve as the connective tissue between Netflix ecosystems and studio ecosystems. Above all, you have impeccable taste, great ideas, and the passion, energy, and creative ambition to see it all through.

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Netflix Games social strategy, aligned with the overall marketing campaign strategy. This is inclusive of target audience, social creative, content distribution across the Netflix social ecosystem and the ongoing management of games-specific social handles.
- Manage internal and agency resources to execute games and slate social campaigns at every stage from ideation through production and distribution.
- Lead social strategy for game specific campaigns, manage the launch of key marketing assets across social.
- Develop multi-title / always-on promotional narratives based on audience behavior and need states as well as existing channel tentpoles.
- Designate global campaign and product-specific social KPIs to set clear expectations for regional social teams contributions and strategies.
- Use internal and external social analytics and other internal data to inform strategy, iterate creative, and constantly learn to improve future campaigns.
Social Strategy Communication
- Main point of contact regarding social strategy and social creative across Marketing, Publicity, Content and other teams working against games single title or slate-level initiatives.
- Responsible for working closely with the team that oversees the social platforms to align on overall best practices and functional expertise.
- Provide studios with brand guidelines and creative toolkits
Creation and Distribution of Social Content
- Responsible for the full suite of content to support individual games and the games brand across the totality of the planned social ecosystem.
