About the role

The Listings Associate will support Nasdaq’s New Listings & Research Team with new listing and retention efforts. This role will require a strong communicator who can diligently manage symbol reservation communications with both internal stakeholders and issuers. In addition, this role will execute a wide range of statistical analysis focused on key trading metrics, market summary statistics and delivering those metrics clearly and concisely to various audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, document, and respond to internal and external symbol requests for pre-IPO companies.
  • Assist in producing analytical trading data analysis and market comparison reports.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of customer needs to identify data solutions.
  • Research and interpret financial and statistical data from a variety of sources.
  • Utilize resources to produce internal reports around current and prospective listings.
  • Maintains reports used across organization and externally including market-wide data.
  • Work with product stakeholders including Marketing, Listings, Economic Research, Legal and Account Management teams to identify key trading activities both market-wide and on an individual equity basis.
  • Provides timely and accurate information and status updates to Account & Senior Management.

Education, Professional Accomplishments & Certifications

  • Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Information Systems, Mathematics or equivalent experience.
  • Experience Required: entry to 2 years

Skills/Requirements & Competencies

  • Proficiency in Excel, FactSet, Bloomberg, Pitchbook, Salesforce and comfort with SEC filings.
  • Excellent communicator able to clearly explain processes to high level internal and external contacts.
  • Must have keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organization skills.
  • Able to work in a high-pressure, fast paced environment.
  • Plans and prioritizes work using resources in the best possible way to complete tasks on time and with high quality.
  • Understands how related disciplines impact own work.
  • Solves complex problems with minimal supervision; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Explains difficult or sensitive information in a diplomatic way; works to build consensus.
  • Proactively shares experiences and knowledge towards the achievement of team objectives.
  • The candidate must have excellent decision-making and workload management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under tight time constraints.
  • Experience with SQL, R, or Python and data visualization software (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) is preferred.
