Advanced Accounting Specialist

Job Summary
Under limited supervision, provides support for month-end closing requirements including fixed assets, journal entries, banking, financial reporting and closing requirements. Acts as a liaison between multiple departments to resolve issues or answer inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Performs advanced accounting functions including monthly account reconciliations, monitoring certain monthly accruals and preparing journal entries in order to ensure proper reporting financials.
- Monitors balance sheet for potential future profits and loss impact.
- Performs complex analysis such as gross profit, warranty, pricing accruals and other ad-hoc analysis.
- Ensures internal controls are operating correctly with the goal of zero deficiencies through JSOX auditing.
- Performs financial analysis and assists in financial reporting activities in order to ensure proper recording of transactions and accurate monthly financial statements.
- Investigates and analyzes accounting and financial related data in order to reconcile and audit information.
- Performs more complex intercompany account reconciliation.
- Assists with process improvement activities including maintaining and implementing internal controls.
- Acts as a liaison between internal departments and other DENSO locations in order to resolve outstanding issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field required.
- 5-8 years of relevant work experience is required.
- Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS is required along with an understanding of current accounting operational structure (financial close, gross profit, JSOX, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to discuss or transmit primarily factual information to internal and external customers in the normal course of performing duties.
- Strong analytical skills to investigate, interpret and reconcile information from several distinct sources in situations where conclusions or resolutions are discernible.
- Customer service skills to display a service-oriented attitude in addressing and responding to customer issues.
- Advanced understanding of accounting principles.

- Advanced understand of system knowledge.
- Ability to take ownership of D-café.
- Ability to take ownership of financial statements.
Salary $75,000-$90,000.
