Overview

The Ambulatory Space Manager plays a critical role in advancing Ambulatory operations by optimizing the physical environment in which care is delivered. This role directly influences patient access, clinic throughput, patient and provider satisfaction, and overall operational efficiency. Ambulatory Space Manager will collaborate closely with the Contact Center, Quality Improvement Program Coordinators, Ambulatory and Medical Administration, Facilities Planning, and Information Systems to apply lean principles that enhance space utilization, support workflow efficiency, and align with organizational goals. The Ambulatory Space Manager serves in a leadership capacity to oversee the planning, evaluation, and ongoing management of clinic space across Ambulatory locations. The Manager works alongside clinical and operational leaders to identify barriers related to space utilization and proactively drive solutions that improve access. The Ambulatory Space Manager and team support high quality patient care by optimizing and managing exam room allocation to ensure that physical environments support operational needs, provider workflows, and patient experience. The Ambulatory Space Manager will also work closely with leadership to identify the best software tools (including AI tools) to support allocation, assignment, utilization and management of exam rooms, and support implementation and optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for and oversight of clinic space allocation process.
  • Develop, monitor, and optimize space utilization metrics across Ambulatory.
  • Partner with divisions to create space standards and best practices that support access and operational excellence.
  • Leads and facilitates education, performance improvement initiatives, and operational workflows related to clinic space management to ensure optimal utilization, standardization, and alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5-7 years experience Clinical operations, practice management, patient flow optimization or clinical capacity management. Epic and data analytics experience preferred

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $39.59/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
