Sales Assistant

Description

Plaisted Companies, Inc. seeks an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Sales Assistant to join our team. This position will support the sales team, handle customer inquiries, enter quotes and orders. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and  provide exceptional customer service and support. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the sales department by entering quotes, customer orders, or projects accurately and timely into the system.
• Gather new-contact mailings or emails, send current customers our product guide, and make follow-up phone calls to ensure information was received as well as answer any questions.  
• Respond and maintain customer inquiries, provide information on products, services, pricing, and availability.
• Answer sales phone calls, input orders, compile submittal information for contract requests. 
• Assist in the development of sales prospects and leads.  
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer information, orders, and sales activities.
• Prepare and organize sales materials, such as brochures, presentations, and samples.
• Assist with event planning and coordination for promotional activities.
• Assist the dispatch and transportation department with entering data, customer inquiries, phone calls and emails. 

Requirements

• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and customer relations.      
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) 
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. 
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm and occasionally overtime as needed. 
• Prefer prior customer support and/or sales assistant experience but not required.
