The Role
The Finance & Operations Assistant will support the finance & operations team, working closely with management to ensure departmental processes are running efficiently. This individual should have a general interest in business operations, finance, and sports & entertainment marketing.
Responsibilities
- Administrative duties including data entry, coordinating meetings and schedules, preparing expense reports, producing correspondences, travel booking/coordinating, special projects assistance as needed.
- Attend team meetings, create agendas, take, and distribute internal notes.
- Work collaboratively and cross-departmentally over all verticals of the agency, while maintaining an elevated level of confidentiality.
- Update financial spreadsheets with daily transactions.
- Review finance-related submissions (payments, invoicing) before advancing for approval.
- Maintain finance and process-related informational documents and update as needed.
- Manage monthly Aging Report follow-up.
- Identify the need for and assist with development and implementation of processes to maximize efficiency & productivity.
- Support implementation and reporting of the Supplier Diversity program.
- Support finance planning and projections.
- Ensure inter-company client records are accurate and current, and update as needed.
- Function as a liaison with our corporate Accounting & Finance, and client Account teams.
- If LA based, support with facility related responsibilities as well.
Requirements
- BA/BS from an accredited University or College required.
- Knowledge of and passion for project management, finance, business operations, policy & processes.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are essential to the success of this role.
- Highly flexible, able to meet strict deadlines, and multi-task.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Advanced skills are a plus.
- Collaborative and able to work in a demanding environment.
- Creative and analytical thinker who has a pulse on tech, digital & industry trends.
Location
- On-Site in New York City, NY or Los Angeles, CA
Compensation
- The base hourly rate for this position is $22.00. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, wages may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
