FNP with experience treating people with active substance use disorder preferred.

Qualifications:

Education/Training:

  • Valid PA licensure as a Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)– Board Certification Required
  • Experience with electronic medical records required
  • Individual Professional Liability insurance required
  • PT contract position – Up to 25-30 hours per week (minimum of 2 days a week)
  • Valid, unrestricted Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number
  • Valid Pennsylvania PROMISE number
  • Minimum of two years’ experience; Work experience in a substance use disorder treatment setting preferred
  • $60.00 - $120.00 per hour based upon experience

Your responsibilities in this role may include:

  • Conduct psychological examinations
  • Promotes the utilization of all types of medication assisted treatment (MAT), Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MAOD)/Medications for Alcohol Use Disorders (MAUD)
  • Work a minimum of 2 days a week; in-person availability required
  • Participate in weekly treatment team meetings
  • Order and monitor medication and medical care for clients as needed and provide written authorization
  • Adheres to the vision and mission of the company
  • Provide detox/MAT support and education as needed
  • Utilizes Gaudenzia's approved pharmacy
  • In conjunction with the Clinical Supervisor, Nurse Manager, Program Director and Medical Director monitors all types of facility discharges to ensure appropriate care coordination is completed.
  • In conjunction with the Program Director and Medical Director, ensures that a 24-hour emergency contact is available.
  • Attends quarterly medical staff meeting.
  • Assists with monitoring facility incident reports and staff training as requested.
  • Maintains safe, secure and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures as per company policy and federal regulations.
  • Ensures that significant adverse drug reactions are reported to the Federal Food and Drug Administration and to the manufacturer in a manner that does not violate the client's confidentiality
  • Review and certify client admissions.
  • Conduct physical examinations within timeframes specified by Company policies and procedures, and licensing and regulatory entities.
  • Ensures all information obtained during the course of physical examinations, laboratory results and other diagnostic evaluations are duly recorded in all patient records
  • Manage client medical care.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all clients and interpret pre-existing medical examination reports to include but not limited to diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
  • Complete and review client documentation contemporaneously in the Company's electronic health record (EHR) as required, including but not limited to physical examinations, medication orders, physicians' notes, nursing and biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans and discharge summaries within twenty-four (24) hours and no later than seventy-two (72) hours of service provision.
  • Conduct Peer-to-Peer reviews as required with funding/referral sources.
  • Meet with the Program Director and Quality Assurance Team and participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives and peer review activities, as needed.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, facility meetings, and conduct education for staff and clients on substance use and mental health symptoms, treatment, and medication.
