Director of Clinical Services

Job Summary:

The Director of Clinical Services oversees and directs all clinical operations at The Providence Center. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality, client-centered mental health services that align with the organization’s mission, vision, and values. The role involves supervising clinical staff, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving program development and evaluation to meet the evolving needs of the community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership & Program Management

Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and programs to ensure the delivery of evidence-based and culturally responsive care.

Provide strategic leadership to clinical teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.

Oversee the development and execution of short- and long-term clinical goals and objectives.

Monitor and evaluate program outcomes to ensure effectiveness and quality improvement.

Staff Supervision & Development

Recruit, hire, and onboard clinical staff, including therapists, counselors, and case managers.

Provide clinical supervision, mentoring, and performance evaluations for staff to ensure professional competency and adherence to ethical guidelines.

Facilitate regular team meetings, case reviews, and training sessions to support clinical excellence.

Work closely together with managers of outpatient services

Client Care & Compliance

Ensure all clinical services comply with state, federal, and organizational regulations, including HIPAA and licensing requirements.

Oversee client intake, assessment, and treatment processes to ensure timely and appropriate care delivery.

Address escalated client concerns and provide crisis intervention as necessary.

Partnerships & Community Engagement

Collaborate with community partners, stakeholders, and funding sources to expand access to mental health services.

Represent the agency at community events, meetings, and professional networks to promote services and build relationships.

Develop and maintain partnerships with other healthcare providers to support integrated care initiatives.

Administrative & Budgetary Oversight

Work with the Sr. Director to develop and manage the clinical services budget.

Ensure accurate documentation, billing, and reporting practices in alignment with funding and regulatory requirements.

Analyze service delivery metrics and prepare reports for leadership, funders, and stakeholders.
