Overview

The Coachella Valley Firebirds are aiming to build the most entertaining environment in sports. We are looking for some enthusiastic, outgoing, and responsible candidates to serve as members of the Firebirds Ice Crew for the season. This position is key to keeping our ice in the best condition during the game. These members will assist with ice maintenance during promotional timeouts, post warm-ups, and on-ice game promotions during intermissions. 

 

This role will pay an hourly rate of $20.00.

This position will remain open until April 15, 2025. 

Responsibilities

• Working with our Ice Operations staff to maintain the ice conditions throughout the game
• Executing promotional timeout ice maintenance based on AHL Policies & Procedures
• Staging in-game props and promotions on-ice during intermissions
• Engage with fans during pre-game to bring in contestants and participation for in-game promotions and Zamboni rides 
• Assist the Firebirds Promo Team in any pre-game activations and walkthroughs
• Other duties as assigned by the Ice Plant Manager

Qualifications

• Proficient skating skills required

• 1-3 years Ice Rink experience desired

• Attention to detail and great organizational skills
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong ability to work well with others in a team environment 
• Must have flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be available throughout the Firebirds hockey schedule October-June
