FP Warehouse Supervisor

Responsibilities:
- Oversee, direct, work with FP yard personnel in the completion of job duties, including cutting material, picking products, assembling and loading orders, stocking bin locations, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse and yard in order to achieve a productive and efficient operation consistently and in accordance with Company policies and procedures
- Cut Engineered Wood Products (EWP) using a power saw according to customer specifications
- Perform general quality control duties and verify customers’ orders are accurate, undamaged, complete, tagged and properly staged and loaded
- Maintain and implement improvements to processes, performance standards, inventory integrity and operational metrics (KPIs) in order to maximize efficiency and productivity
- Follow safety policies and procedures and conduct safety inspections and meetings in compliance with OSHA, state and federal regulations, and Company programs. Ensure that employees have safe and properly maintained work areas and equipment and that they perform job duties in a safe manner
- Assist with staffing and maintain a professional, trained, and motivated staff through effective implementation of onboarding, training, performance and career-development programs. Conduct performance appraisals in a timely manner.
- Provide counseling, coaching and implement disciplinary actions as need to address employee performance concerns and other issues.
- Respond to general employee inquiries and solve problems
- Review and approve timekeeping records and requests for schedule changes, vacations and other time-off in accordance with Company policies and procedures
- Communicate regularly with supervisor regarding employee's performance and productivity, operational issues, and safety concerns
- Generate warehouse productivity reports for selection and loading rates and account for all direct and indirect labor hours in the warehouse
- Run reports and analyzes data to monitor product distribution
- Oversee routine maintenance of the ASW / WMS system relating to shipping and selecting operations
- Respond to inquiries from Customer Service and others regarding delivery status of products
- Assist customers with will call orders, process documents, notify warehouse to pick order, print Delivery Notifications and obtain customer signature
- Create and process pick suggestions. Assist with assignment of pick tags when needed.
- Analyze daily inventory discrepancies, including transport note discrepancies, received from delivery, warehouse, customer service, and purchasing personnel
- Review and make recommendations for product labeling, descriptions, quality, SKU accuracy, unit of measure and packaging in order to improve product identification and picking accuracy of warehouse operations
- Verify quantity of product shipped or received with packing list and inspect for damage. Sign packing list noting any discrepancies and forward to office for processing
- Notify Inventory Control of product damage or shortages and assist as needed with cycle counts and physical inventories
- Assist as needed to pick and pull products, assemble orders, and stage and load products
- Adhere to the department's budget and guidelines for approved expenses
- Maintain and protect the Company’s facility, equipment, forklifts, vehicles/trailers, inventory and other assets in good working order, perform safety checks and notify manager of any concerns. Securely close the facility at the end of the shift.
- Work cooperatively with co-workers and other departments in order to keep them informed of relevant information, allow proper transfer of inquiries beyond the scope of position, and assure positive relationships are maintained
- Act as a back-up for a supervisor or manager as needed
- Attend and participate in meetings as required
- Perform additional duties as required and requested

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience:
Five years work experience in a warehouse position operating a forklift with two to three years in a supervisory or lead position.
