We are currently seeking a CAD and Infrastructure engineer to join our innovative team developing high-performance ASICs for the next generation of AI acceleration systems. This unique opportunity allows you to define new flows and methodologies for designing and implementing Photonics designs, ASICs, and SOCs. As a startup, we quickly adopt new ideas and flows and have a culture of innovation and collaboration within our hardware teams that allows us to rapidly deploy new infrastructure.
In this role, you have the opportunity to develop, deploy, and support the design automation and infrastructure used throughout our chip design flow, from RTL to PD. You will collaborate with design, verification, and implementation teams, as well as external partners, to establish an efficient and predictable chip design process. If you have a strong background in the semiconductor industry, a history of successful tape-outs, and experience in chip design and CAD methodologies, this opportunity is perfect for you!
Responsibilities:
- Develop and support an efficient, comprehensive design verification and physical design flow and infrastructure
- Automate and script design flows to enhance efficienc
- Create and maintain data collection tools, reports, and dashboards for tracking and progress reporting
- Support innovative verification and physical design methodologies
- Manage EDA tools, licenses, and vendors to ensure optimal performance and support.
Requirements
- 8+ years of industry experience working on ASIC designs with multiple production-quality tapeouts
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Experience with standard EDA CAD tools
- Experience in Python, TCL or other scripting environments
- Experience in both ASIC and COT flows

Base Compensation Range: $165,000 to $205,000. In accordance with the Colorado, California and New York law, the range provided is Lightmatter's reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. Actual pay will be based on several factors including work experience, location and education.
