Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data, in order to calculate part dimension
Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Gibbs CAD/CAM software
Update CNC programs and manufacturing processes to help optimize machining lead times
Use a variety of precision measuring instruments
Generate setup instructions and machine tool lists for operators
Recommend tooling applications and operational sequence to assist in developing practical programming for new and unusual machining requirements
May set-up for and instruct machine operators of lower classification
Recognize, report, and correct errors
Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

High school diploma or its equivalent
Accredited apprenticeship or equivalent training (2 year degree)
Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, operations
Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills
5+ years of CNC Programming Experience
3+ years of CAD experience
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with co-workers and supervisors
Willingness to bring new ideas and potential efficiencies to the management team
