AndurilAbout the role
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
We are looking for a Senior Director of Engineering who will be responsible for driving all of the engineering efforts in our Altius business unit. The Altius family of systems features the Altius uncrewed aircraft which is quickly becoming the premiere long range, advanced launched effect platform for US DoD, Federal Agencies and International Partners. The Altius aircraft is an incredibly versatile platform that can be launched from ground, air or sea to conduct multiple mission types, to include standoff ISR&T, kinetic engagement, RF decoy, SIGINT, comms relay and cyber warfare. Altius-M variants deliver best-in-class loitering time and range, while leveraging autonomy to execute collaborative teaming and coordinated strikes.
This leader will coordinate planning and execution of engineering efforts against a wide variety of contracts. We are seeking someone with proven experience leading complex robotics, drone or launched weapon system development at large scale. In order to be successful at Anduril, our engineering leaders need to be fluent in problem analysis and rapid development to drive complex system level design trades and achieve mission solutions. In addition to carrying out the engineering product development, production support, and sustainment through the entire product lifecycle, this person must demonstrate a history of success coordinating large teams of at least 200+ engineers against a complex schedule with multiple customers and disparate contract obligations.
