Overview:
In this role, you will support and enhance the software systems used by the legal, compliance, finance, and licensing sales groups at Dolby. These systems include contract lifecycle management, customer relationship management, order fulfillment and tracking, tax and revenue accounting, licensing operations, and quality test automation. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate and understand new pricing and licensing agreements, and manage the implementation of this structure into spreadsheet programs and enterprise applications systems. You will collaborate with various IT and business stakeholders to document, prioritize, and implement changes required to support pricing and licensing agreements. This may include reviewing contracts, analyzing pricing scenarios, and determining calculations. You will also perform, and where possible, automate testing to ensure pricing accuracy. In addition, you may also work on related processes that support data collection, reporting, and processing.
Essential Job Functions
- Support the pricing and licensing operations related to Technology Licensing Agreements. This includes reviewing contract terms, identifying key metadata for pricing, implementing updates, and maintaining calculations in spreadsheet and system formats.
- Interact with the Global Operations team members in Sales, Finance, Tax, IT, and Licensing to understand and document requirements to support new or improved processes to be implemented into the systems.
- Implement prioritized and approved changes into the relevant business systems to support the requested functionality. This includes implementing pricing calculations into worksheets, identifying key metadata analysis of pricing, and generating test data to verify accuracy.
- Document and execute system, performance, and user-acceptance test plans to ensure that the system changes are error-free and meet the approved requirements and designs. This may include use of test automation tools and QA processes to ensure continued accuracy of the systems.
- Maintain repository of published pricing workbooks and ensure accuracy of information contained within each. This includes updating data as new products are introduced and pricing changes are approved.
- Develop and assist project team members with project estimates and detailed work plans.
- Interact with other staff as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operation of business information systems using a diplomatic, professional, and service oriented approach, including written correspondence, technical consultations, and meetings.
Other Responsibilities
- Perform duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or any member of the Dolby management team, subject to approval by direct manager and/or departmental VP.
- Perform tasks necessary to complete performance objectives and assist team members as needed.
Education, Skills, Abilities, and Experience Required
- BS, BA or equivalent experience in information management systems.
- Minimum of 2 years of information management experience including at least 1 year working as a business systems analyst (internship experience included)
