DATA ANALYST (SSRD)

 

Bowhead seeks a Data Analyst to support our Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) contract in Stafford, VA. The Data Analyst role is part of a business intelligence and data warehouse team tasked with providing data analysis, data design, systems development, training and customer support.

Responsibilities

• Perform statistical analysis of large data sets to understand trends, relationships between variables, and to formulate predictive insights.
• Analyze and interpret data from diverse spreadsheets to understand variations in data tracking methodologies.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy by performing through data validation and reconciliation process.
• Recommend and implement improvements to data tracking methodologies and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Design and build data visualizations using diverse sets of structured and unstructured data.
• Ensure research reports are created using credible qualitative and quantitative methodologies based on key insights and findings from studies.

Qualifications

• Three to five (3-5) years of expereince; Two (2) years combination of education, professional training, or relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. 
• High School Diploma required or Bachelors Degree prefered
• Shall have the ability to apply analytical skills relating to database management and development knowledge of relational database management systems.

Desired Skills:

• Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Certifications in Tableau and SAS.
• Experience with analytics, databases and business intelligence is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds 
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain/maintain a security clearance at the Public Trust (T-1 Investigation) level. US Citizenship is a requirement at this location.
