The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Talent Acquisition and Compensation Coordinator, School of Dental Medicine [R0149934]

ROLE of the POSITION

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator supports the full-cycle recruitment and hiring process for the UNLV School of Dental Medicine (SDM), ensuring compliance with NAC, NSHE, and institutional policies. This position plays a vital role in attracting and onboarding talent across all SDM employee groups, including academic, academic clinical, classified, postdoctoral, temporary, student, part-time, and volunteer positions.

The Coordinator provides consultation and guidance to departments on recruitment strategies, onboarding procedures, position classifications, and employment terms, while maintaining accurate and timely data and reports in Workday.

Working closely with hiring officials, HR leadership, and cross-functional partners, the Coordinator facilitates a seamless hiring and onboarding experience for new employees and residents. They contribute to HR and system-wide workgroups, analyze workforce trends, and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, compliance, and the overall candidate experience.

The Coordinator provides analytical and administrative support for salary, classification, and compensation requests, including merit increases, stipends, cost-of-living adjustments, and other pay actions.

Through effective coordination, communication, and process management, this position strengthens the SDM’s ability to meet its staffing and organizational goals. The Coordinator plays a key role in fostering collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability within the HR team while advancing workforce development initiatives that support the School’s mission and culture.
