Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Laboratory Tech to work full-Time, night shifts in Transfusion Services

Sign on bonus up to $20,000 for qualified candidates!

Job duties are to perform laboratory tests; interpret results; document and report results. Maintain department equipment, instruments, and tools.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical or biological science or Medical Laboratory Science OR Associates degree in medical technology
• ASCP or AMT certification; or be eligible for certification
• Transfusion experience preferred

Job Summary

Performs laboratory tests; interprets results; documents and reports results. Maintains department equipment, instruments, and tools.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required. ASCP or AMT certification required. Candidates with the required education/experience and are eligible for the examination have within one year from the date of hire to obtain certification. Certification must remain current for continued employment
