Leads network operations and availability improvement initiatives for a large-scale RDMA fabrics deployed globally on Oracle cloud computing environment (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - OCI). Primarily focused on development and support of network fabric and systems through a combination of a deep level understanding of networking at the protocol level coupled with programming skills to support the intensive automation required to operate a production environment. As OCI is a cloud-based network with a global footprint, this support will include hundreds of thousands of network devices supporting millions of servers, connected over a mix of dedicated backbone infrastructure and the Internet.

Lead network lifecycle management programs by defining high-level objectives and delivery procedures. Organize project technical milestones and supporting tasks. May serve as a project technical lead, coordinating the efforts of two or three engineers. Advise project or program managers and coordinate with immediate and skip-level leadership. Collaborate across teams within the same organization (under the same VP). May act as a technical SME in cross-functional activities. Hold technical responsibility for moderately complex projects, including project requirements, specifications (where applicable), and documentation.
May lead multiple engineers in developing network solutions comprising multiple modules with complex interactions. Work with supporting service teams to ensure solutions are properly supported by monitoring and automation systems. Serve as the principal point of contact for systematically resolving complex network issues and act as an SME for root cause analysis efforts. Frequently develop scripts to automate non-traditional, complex tasks for the business unit. May serve as a technical lead on network automation design and delivery projects.
Provide broad guidance to technical and senior technical staff. Interpret input from technical and managerial leaders, providing focused development to junior members. Conduct technical coaching sessions and assist junior staff in developing their skills. Collaborate with vendor engineering and account managers to address current business or operational issues. Drive technology advancements to meet product and service requirements.
Participate in coordinated communication with product teams, networking leadership, and the PMO to assess gaps, solutions, and needs. Serve as a Tier 2 or specialized escalation point for systemic and large-scale operational work streams. Dissect complex issues related to design flaws or protocol/process deficiencies. Provide operational assessments for incoming complex systems, accounting for operational impacts, sustainability, reliability, and fault tolerance/resiliency. Guide downstream work assignments within the organization and offer recommendations. Participate in the on-call rotation.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $120,100 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
