Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Subcontract and Procurement Administrator II to join our East Region Procurement Team. This will be a remote position that can be based in, but not limited to: Hunt Valley, MD; Philadelphia, PA; Arlington, VA; Charlotte, NC; Atlanta, GA; Tampa, FL; Orlando, FL. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Follow and enforce procurement related policies and procedures.
  • Develop understanding of subcontracting terminology.
  • Management of subcontracted professional, construction, and general services.
  • Processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services and supplies for customer-related business processes or for general internal use.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and develop risk mitigation strategy.
  • Manage supplier performance against scope of work.
  • Responsible for the acquisition of all parts, equipment, services and supplies according to company standards and specifications at competitive prices.
  • Foster relationships internally with stakeholders and externally with suppliers and other groups.
  • Present the subcontracting and procurement process to stakeholders in an effective manner.
  • Assist the business when projects depart from basic procurement principles.
  • Communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, solve problems, and make efficient and effective supply management decisions.
  • Perform subcontracting and procurement functions.
  • Develop understanding of procurement systems and tools.
  • Assist with preparation and solicit Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ) for all services and goods.
  • Prepare and executes Purchase Orders and Subcontracts.
  • Negotiate deviations from company terms and conditions and minimum insurance requirements.
  • Maintain subcontract and procurement documentation.
  • Contact subcontractors for timely submittal of proposals and clarifications.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: ·

  • Bachelors Degree + 2 Years of relevant experience in subcontracting or other procurement functions or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.
  • Candidate must be able to work Eastern Time Zone work hours.

Prefered Requirements: 

  • Competency to perform subcontracting and procurement management functions.
  • Understanding of contracting and procurement terminology, measures, concepts, principles, and strategies.
  • Experience in managing tactical and strategic supplier relationships
  • Intermediate computer skills and ability to use procurement systems, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Prior experience in the A/E/C Industry preferred.

  • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $61K - $75K.
