GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provides administrative leadership for SLP residencies across campuses. Collaborates with the Program Director, program leadership, clinical coordinators, and faculty to oversee SLP residency experiences (hands-on clinical skills training) and ensure the clinical experiences meet educational objectives, adhere to standards, and are consistent across campuses. Directs the residency process by supervising and guiding clinical coordinators and leading the planning and coordination of residency activities. Additionally, provides clinical teaching support to clinical coordinators to promote high-quality instruction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include:
• Provide direct supervision and guidance to clinical coordinators across campuses. Lead and support the clinical coordinator team in planning and coordinating residencies, while also offering ongoing clinical teaching support in courses and residencies.
• Actively participate as a member of the SLP leadership team to coordinate the integration of academic and clinical learning to fulfill the mission of the program and graduate well-prepared CF-ready clinicians.
• Coordinate with clinical coordinators, associate program directors, and faculty on each campus to deliver high-quality residency experiences that meet educational objectives
• Collaborate with faculty on designing formative and summative learning experiences for students during on-campus residency experiences
• Collaborate with other clinical directors on the SLP leadership team to align, map, and maintain a cohesive framework for all clinical training experiences, including course-based activities, Simucase, the PBC clinic, residency, and externships. Ensure alignment and mapping of course learning outcomes/objectives with residency activities
• Collaborate on designing/implementing interprofessional experiences
• Implement timelines and processes across campuses to support the delivery of residencies
• Facilitate collaboration between teaching teams for residency content and ensuring integration of evidence-based content
• Oversee the development/maintenance of teaching guides for clinical instruction
• Collaborate with campuses on room scheduling, lab supplies, and clinical educator needs for residency delivery
• Synchronous session coordination, development and delivery to support residency content
• Develop scoring rubrics for residency activities to monitor and track student acquisition of skills and competencies (i.e. beginning skills checklists and student performance rating scales)
• Participate in the creation of remediations/intervention plans for residency experiences
• Oversee integration of residency teaching/artifacts with clinical courses
• Chair residency curriculum committee
• Maintain files/documentation for residency
• Direct communication to students regarding residency experiences
• Maintain consistency of processes, procedures, and educational objectives of residency experiences across campuses
• Coordinate with campus Centers for Innovative Clinical Practice for simulated learning experiences
• Prepare, collect, and analyze outcome data from residency experiences
• Oversee continual assessment and improvement plans for residency experiences
• Direct hiring process for clinical educators needed for residencies on each campus
• Assist with the development of the program budget for lab materials and other resources for residency experiences
• Reduced teaching workload not to exceed .5 FTE workload
• Contribute to synchronous session day planning and teaching
• Develop processes and procedures as needed
• Service and scholarly activities
• Participates in marketing activities and other activities as a representative of the University
• Other duties as assigned by the program director

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Position requires driving or travel to other campuses. A valid driver license for state of residence and at least minimum liability insurance required by the state.

MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for direct supervision of clinical coordinators within the program, while coordinating input with the associate program director for the campus where the clinical coordinator is based.
