You may know us as simply "Coca-Cola," but our system operates through multiple local channels. We make branded beverage products available to consumers in more than 200 countries and territories through our network of independent bottling partners and some Company-owned or -controlled bottling and distribution operations. This role is a key integration point between the regional logistics teams, the OTC team, and the strategic planning teams, driving the development and adoption of new tools and processes while ensuring the company is current on new transportation and planning technologies. You’ll also support the development of transportation strategies and bid processes. We are looking for a candidate with experience in logistics technology and has demonstrated leadership and innovation in the logistical space.
What You’ll Do for Us
- Ensure that logistics platform infrastructure leverages available technologies to provide end-to-end supply chain and spend visibility, enabling data-driven decisions and contributing to identifying the most effective technologies and process improvement practices to support global business objectives.
- Formulate global designs and deployment plans that incorporate local and regional needs while maintaining global standardization.
- Network-wide rate guidance by carrier type and mode, National strategic scenario building, and carrier type allocation (dedicated, OTR, broker, CPU/DPU).
- Analyzing industry trends and developing countermeasures and innovative procurement strategies drive noNorthmerica Operator Unit (NAOU) to bebehe ipper of choice by implementing industry-recommended 12-step programs.
- Pursue the latest technology trends to ensure OTM is fully optimized, load tracking adding value, lane forecasting minimizing spot, network modeling driving correct mode determination, etc.
- Collaborate with regional logistics teams to ensure process and strategic alignment consistency. Effectively transition solutions to logistics delivery teams and/or other stakeholders as required.
- Be the SME to the project stakeholders and logistics delivery teams to ensure the solution remains aligned with business and technical requirements (ensure smooth design to execution).
- Identify leading-edge logistics technology solutions, developing business cases as needed to encourage further exploration and potential investment
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Technical, Business or related field.
- 5+ years of transportation experience with a carrier or shipper or a mix of relevant operational and/or logistics experience in the high-volume consumer goods industry.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a complex global matrix organization, lead cross-functional teams, have an excellent understanding of relevant business requirements and dynamics as well as establish networks with key stakeholders.
- Provides computational and quantitative analysis expertise applicable to transportation and supply chains.
- Develops strategic information reports for various levels of management by translating data through innovative analysis.
- Drives continuous improvement through bot development and automation.
- Actively participate in cross-functional teams to proactively identify data, analysis, trending, and reporting requirements.
- Provides technical expertise in transportation procurement activities to drive strategic business initiatives and objectives
