Essential Functions:

As the Hospice Branch Director, you will be responsible for overseeing daily branch operations, ensuring quality and efficiency. Coordinates with the parent office, care team, patients, families, and referral sources. Manages staff, resources, and branch-level quality initiatives in alignment with agency policies.

  • Directs and coordinates branch, and assumes responsibility for continuity, quality, and safety of services delivered. Identifies problem areas to Administrator / Supervising Nurse. 
  • Promotes the philosophy and administrative policies of the Agency, in an effort to ensure quality of patient/client care.
  • Supervises and provides direction to subordinates, in an effort to ensure quality and continuity of services. 
  • Employs, recruits, manages, and directs qualified personnel to carry out the policies and procedures of the Agency. Ensures staff education and evaluations. 
  • Promotes and monitors compliance with fiscal intermediary and / or other third-party payors, federal and state regulations, through education, coaching, QAPI program and other assistance, as necessary. 
  • Monitors operational systems for efficiency and compliance with regulations and identifies problem areas to Administrator / Supervising Nurse.
  • Provides communication to parent office regarding needs of the branch to include personnel needs, financial needs, professional practices, quality issues, and planning.
  • Assures documentation of services provided is accurate and timely. 
  • Uses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills; facilitates the use of these skills by other team members to achieve desirable outcomes. 

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited college/university is preferred, with healthcare-related education.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership role experience in hospice or palliative care.
  • Strong understanding of hospice regulations and standards.
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Reliable transportation. Valid and current auto liability insurance.
