The <strong>DevEx Platforms</strong> team (6 engineers) focuses on developer experience and workflow automation.</p> <p>We’re now expanding into more <strong>AI-assisted developer workflows</strong> using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot to support debugging, migrations, test generation, and everyday development in a safe, measurable way.</p> <p>This role sits in Developer Platforms and reports to the <strong>Engineering Manager of the DevEx Platforms team</strong>.</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>As a <strong>Senior Software Engineer</strong> on DevEx Platforms, you’ll build <strong>GenAI-augmented developer experiences</strong> and platform capabilities used across all of The New York Times.</p> <p>Your work will help teams ship faster and more safely, pay down technical debt through structured migrations and platform modernization, and turn effective internal practices into reusable tools and agents.</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Design and build GenAI-powered developer tooling</strong>: prompts, IDE integrations, Cursor/Claude rules, and telemetry t
