Job Summary:

The Solar Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the overall management and supervision of our solar equipment warehouse. This includes overseeing inventory control, optimizing warehouse processes, managing a team of warehouse associates, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of warehouse operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Warehouse Operations: Manage day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing solar panels, inverters, racking systems, and related materials.

2. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and oversee regular cycle counts and reconciliation. Implement best practices for inventory control and accuracy.

3. Team Leadership: Supervise and train warehouse associates. Delegate tasks, set performance goals, and ensure the team operates efficiently and safely.

4. Process Optimization: Continuously assess and improve warehouse processes to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs. Implement lean principles and best-in-class warehouse practices.

5. Quality Control: Ensure that all solar equipment meets industry standards and quality requirements. Implement quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections.

6. Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Oversee the arrangement of materials and equipment to maximize space utilization.

7. Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate routine maintenance checks on warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, and manage any necessary repairs.

8. Shipping and Receiving: Oversee outbound shipments to installation sites, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries. Verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.

9. Safety Compliance: Enforce all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety training for warehouse staff.

10. Reporting: Generate reports on inventory levels, warehouse performance, and safety metrics. Provide regular updates to the operations team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field (preferred).

• Previous experience in warehouse management, ideally in the solar or renewable energy industry.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Proficiency in warehouse management software and inventory tracking systems.

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, often in excess of 50 pounds.

• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Knowledge of safety procedures and commitment to following them.
