We have an exciting new role to join a brand new team as a Senior Software Engineer.

The back-end engineering team are key to the success of the product.  They are responsible for collecting and shaping billions of unique data points, to allow users to access it and analyze it. 
 

We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced Java Engineer to work on some of our most challenging and exciting opportunities as we scale up our growing team. Come work with data at true scale.  You will have the opportunity to solve the kind of problems that only occur with billions of data points and cutting-edge technology. What will you be doing? 

• You will be working with colleagues on 3 continents, who share a passion for building the best software, the best team, and the best customer experience. 
• Design and implement major changes and new features
• Identify bottlenecks and problems throughout the infrastructure.
• Actively review code, mentor junior development staff, and provide peer feedback.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve pain points as well as evangelize best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and come up with solutions as required.

What do you need to be successful? 

• Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience 
• Minimum 4+ years of Java development experience 
• Experience in AWS, Azure or any other public cloud
• Good understanding of Linux 
• Experience in microservice design and implementation including API design and implementation 
• Attention to details. Tendency to double check what you are doing 
• Readiness to learn new technologies 
• Proficient English communication skills, verbal and written 
• ​Additionally, experience in the following is welcomed: 
• Hands-on with Terraform, Helm, Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar technologies 
• Understanding of CI/CD processes 
• Any development experience in Python

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.  

$106,050.00 - $208,050.00
