Collins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Industrial Engineer for our Brazonics team within Mission Systems.

This candidate will utilize their experience and talents to provide engineering support to manufacturing processes. This person will interface with the Leaders across the business to drive performance improvements, conducting studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, lead time reduction, and production record systems.

Brazonics, Inc. is a brazing, machining and engineering company based out of Hampton, New Hampshire. Brazonics specializes in dip and vacuum brazing combined with highly sophisticated chassis testing. Our distinct process goes beyond traditional capabilities to deliver durable and highly efficient thermal solutions to aerospace and commercial industries. This position provides the right candidate an exceptional opportunity to grow their manufacturing engineering career. The selected candidate will support the Thermal and Electronic Solutions team within Mission Systems and the individual will play a key role in the organization as they prepare for a facility relocation.

This is an ONSITE position located in Hampton, NH but will be moving to Durham, NH in 2025.

What You Will Do

• Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems
• Implementation of lean manufacturing principles and 5S. Deploy department resources to eliminate waste in process
• Participate in material review board meetings, root cause corrective action and coordinate solutions for identified discrepancies utilizing root cause corrective action
• Support operational excellence using statistical analysis for process control and certification; provide focused & effective leadership in eliminating EH&S/Ergonomics/Human Factors risks and addressing quality issues
• Support R&D projects and project task activities.  Project activities include project plan development, material processing and testing, data collection and analysis, and summarizing information in comprehensive technical reports
• Support the manufacturing floor, optimize layouts, improve processes and create tooling
• Identify trends and recommend best practices to improve process capability
• Support employee training and development on various lean tools
• Serve as point of contact for process related failures

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience 
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

Qualifications We Prefer

• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
• Root Cause Corrective Action
• Experience in 8D’s
• Experience in 5S
• Experience in PDCA
• Able to effectively communicate, lead assigned projects, influence and coordinate across teams in strategic projects and initiatives
• Experience in Lean principles
• Experience in CNC machining
