Sr. Analyst Hotel Operations

The Gig:

This position requires a strong understanding of systems, reporting and data analysis including financial, operational and performance factors.  The Candidate must be able to work across all hotel operations areas using multiple systems to extract data for reporting, trend analysis and decision support.  Expected to create and provide regular and ad hoc reports and presentations for senior leadership.

This gig is based at VVHQ - our swanky Virgin Voyages Head Office in Plantation, FL where we follow a hybrid work environment. We can't wait to 'sea' you in person on our Collaboration Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, while you enjoy Mondays and Fridays' as remote days.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Retrieve, analyze and provide reporting on hotel systems using spreadsheets, data visualization and other reporting tools as needed.

• Use problem solving skills to analyze and resolve operational issues and develop tools to improve ship and shore hotel operations.

• Proactively identify and implement operational process improvements, enhancements, and system development that meets business requirements.

• Work with ship and shore leaders across all hotel areas to provide ad hoc reporting and analysis.

• Ability to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, while maintaining an independent and entrepreneurial mindset.

Super Powers Required:

• Bachelor’s in business, hospitality or comparable experience

• 5 years experience in cruise / hospitality industry

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft office suite and/or equivalent Google applications

• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and/or Google Sheets

• Good command of the English Language

• Highly organized and self starter

• Ability to travel for ship visits for training, projects, new ship launches

• Experience with hospitality systems including point of sale and property management systems preferred

• Experience with data analysis / visualization tools, Tableau preferred
