Job Description
SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Associate Registrar, the Registrar Specialist actively contributes to the daily operations of the Registrar Office. The Registrar Specialist is pivotal in maintaining accurate and timely records, providing crucial administrative support for student data input and analysis, reviewing processes, and generating reports.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review academic records for incoming and current students to identify possibilities for prior credit including transfer credit, Advanced Placement (AP), and International Baccalaureate (IB).
Research courses from other institutions using various online resources and collaborate with the appropriate department to determine an accurate course match for articulation.
Ensure that credit is accurately, promptly, and properly recorded in the Student Information System to facilitate academic advising and timely progress to graduation.
Maintain transfer equivalencies in the Student Information System.
Evaluate student petitions to determine eligibility for graduation.
Update student records to reflect the appropriate status for the semester of expected graduation.
Research and resolve enrollment errors and data discrepancies between NSC, NSLDS, and the Student Information System in compliance with federal guidelines.
Coordinate with the Catalog Coordinator and other members of the Registrar’s Office to ensure curriculum and catalog changes are properly implemented within the schedule of classes.
Audit divisional schedules for anomalies and ensure University academic policies are followed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum one year of professional experience in an institution of higher education, education, or a related enrollment management field.
Experience using a student information system.
PREFERRED:
Experience using a Ellucian Banner, Slate (CRM), and Workday.
