Certified Medical Assistant

Location: North Moore Family Practice Position: Certified Medical Assistant
Success in this role looks like steady client transition from intake to checkout and follow-up with accurate documentation and execution of clinical procedures in accordance to federal and state safety and compliance guidelines

Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday No weekends
Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience: EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification: BLS Certification (Preferred) CCMA Certification or RMA (Required)

Clinical Duties(may include, but not limited to):

• Taking medical histories
• Explaining treatment procedures to patients
• Preparing patients for examination
• Assisting the physician during exams
• Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
• Performing in-house CLIA WAIVED laboratory tests
• Instructing patients about medication and special diets
• Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician
• Transmitting prescription refills as directed
• Drawing blood
• Taking electrocardiograms
• Removing sutures and changing dressings
