About the role

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (MUST meet minimum qualifications to be considered)

Bachelor degree and 3 years related work experience OR 8 years minimum related work experience.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload. Team player with high energy and a can-do attitude.  Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.  Associate is required to have effective communication skills both verbal, as well as written.  Overtime expected and required on short notice.  Material Requirement Planning knowledge required.  Capable of understanding and conducting basic arithmetic and statistical operations.  Ability to quickly recognize errors and inconsistencies in numerical data (good analysis skills). Familiar with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES

Daily production scheduling to meet customer requirements while maintaining Heijunka systems and considering production capacities.  Weekly horizon forecasting and Monthly target system setting.  Maintain production tracking files.  Coordinate Engineering Changes (ECIs) and phase-in/out activities. Communicate effectively with DENSO affiliates, customers, suppliers and other departments in DMMI.    Monitor backorders from production.

PREFERENCES

Automotive background.  Experience with kanban system.  PC skills/ CIGMA.  Leadership abilities.  Knowledge of Production planning systems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job you may be asked to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift or carry component parts weighing up to 35 pounds-lifting parts in excess of 35 pounds with a lift assist, work on the production line for short periods of time, use hands to handle or feel parts, reach with hand and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear, use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, frequent phone use and typing.  The work environment will vary from an open office setting to a production environment.
