Travel Physical Therapist
This is a full-time travel position that may travel throughout Elara Caring's coverage area.

As a Travel Physical Therapist, you’ll contribute to our success in the following ways:
- Ensures that all activities performed align with the vision of Elara Caring’s board of directors, executive team, and the leadership of the Home Health team.
- Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes, and consults with other specialists. Reviews patients’ functional needs and adjusts care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Designs and implements a plan of care for patients based on a thorough assessment of potential development and incorporates participation by significant others whenever it seems appropriate.
- Conducts therapy practice within defined standards of care.
- Directs the assistance of support staff to achieve patients’ functional goals.
- Communicates effectively with other professionals and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Practices hospital and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Documents evaluations, treatment goals, and plans. Regularly updates documentation and maintains prescriptions and signatures.
- Enhances professional growth and development of self and others through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops. Keep up to date on professional literature.
- Provides direction and leadership to staff and acts as a resource to promote physical therapy in the community.
- Promotes Elara Caring’s philosophy, mission statement and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
- Maintains patient and staff privacy and confidentiality pursuant to HIPAA Privacy Final Rule.
- Performs other duties/projects as assigned.
What is Required?
- Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved Physical Therapy Program
- 1+ year experience as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Aide
- Current, unrestricted licenses from the State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners for all states assigned within travel region.
- Must have a dependable vehicle, valid drivers licence, and current auto insurance in accordance with the laws of the state.
- Full range of body motion including handling, lifting and transfer of patients
- Must be able to lift up to 100lbs
- Ability and willingness to travel 100%
You will report to the Clinical Team Manager.
The low end of the compensation range is $115,000 to the high end up to $130,000 annually, which can include additional earnings for work beyond quota,
