This position will assist the SEC Reporting Team in preparing required periodic SEC Filings. The Lead Accountant will have strong analytical skills and be able to work both independently and as a member of cross-functional teams. The Lead Accountant will demonstrate excellent communication, data gathering, analysis, reporting and process improvement skills.
Essential Functions
Assist in preparation of certain schedules and disclosures used in SEC reporting (10-Q and 10-K)
Prepare quarterly earnings releases in collaboration with the Investor Relations department
Prepares thorough documentation to support SEC accounting schedules and workpapers.
Analyzes peer disclosures and identifies reporting trends and areas of improvement.
Suggests enhancements in department processes and procedures to increase efficiency and/or improve customer service.
Assists with various aspects of the yearly audit.
Assists with the implementation of various accounting standards and any impacts to financial statements and disclosures
Develops a good understanding of Key’s organization and products.
Continues to develop knowledge base on existing and emerging issues in both accounting and banking.
Other duties as assigned by management
Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (preferred)
Work Experience
1-3 years of financial reporting, public accounting, or other relevant experience

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $56,000.00 - $85,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location.
