LynLake Centers for WellBeing is a thriving group psychotherapy and wellness practice with a diverse team of 170+ transdisciplinary professionals.  

We are seeking a Medical Records Specialist to answer incoming phone calls and electronic communications from new and existing clients. The ideal candidate will be friendly, energetic and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.

This opportunity is an exempt, full-time position working remotely from Minnesota with an estimated weekly commitment of 40 hours per week. BIPoC individuals are strongly encouraged to apply!

Essential functions:

Manage incoming communications from current and prospective clients. Typical activities are outlined below:

· Manages all medical record requests at the practice. 

· Answer the medical records phone line between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm on Mondays through Fridays.

· Route phone calls and emails from clients and clinicians to the appropriate back-office professional.

· Respond to inquiries in a thorough, timely, and an efficient manner while maintaining confidentiality of client's information.

· Coordinates with providers regarding the medical requests received.

· Distribute incoming faxes to providers and administrative staff.

· Coordinate with internal teams to escalate client requests appropriately.

· Assist leadership with implementing HIPAA compliant records policies. 

· Maintain up to date knowledge of technology.

· Maintain current knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to medical records.

· Proficient with terminology related to clinical mental health and wellness.

· Knowledge of HIPAA, and able to develop proficiency in software tools: telephone system, electronic health record, and help desk ticketing tool.

Job Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent, required.

· 1 year experience in healthcare environment, required.

· 1 year experience working with medical records.

Salary: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
