Description:
We are looking to support the Strategic Events team as an Event Manager. This role will help plan, coordinate, and execute high-visibility strategic events. The ideal candidate is highly organized, calm under pressure, and experienced in running complex events end to end. They should be able to manage details without losing sight of the bigger picture, work effectively across marketing, sales, operations, and external partners, and keep programs moving on time and on budget.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support planning and execution of Connect, Connect on Tour, and other strategic events
- Manage event timelines, milestones, workback plans, and cross-functional dependencies
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders across marketing, sales, product, creative, operations, and leadership
- Partner with vendors, venues, agencies, and production teams to deliver polished event experiences
- Track spend of budget and operational requirements
- Support attendee management, registration workflows, communications, and run-of-show planning
- Build and maintain event briefs, status updates, and post-event recaps
- Troubleshoot issues quickly and keep stakeholders informed when plans change
- Help ensure every event reflects Cloudflare's brand, standards, and strategic priorities
Skills:
- 5+ years experience in event management, field marketing, experiential marketing, or corporate events w/ IN CYBERSECURITY OR IT COMPANIES
- Experience supporting large-scale, high-visibility, or executive-level events
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with external vendors, agencies, and production partners
- Comfortable with budgets, production schedules, and event operations
- Experience with registration platforms, attendee communications, and event operations tools
- Experience supporting tech, B2B, or enterprise marketing events
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Midlothian, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65.00 - $85.00/hr.
