About your role:

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead our cross-functional Giving Experience Engineering Teams.  In this role, you will champion the iOS, Android, API, and other engineering teams that are responsible for building products that enable millions of donors to give to causes they care about. Your team:

The Giving Experience Team comprises a cross-functional group of engineers, designers, product managers, marketers, and data scientists. They play a pivotal role in fulfilling Givelify's mission of connecting people to the causes that matter most to them. This team is entrusted with building innovative products and services for our donors, including our flagship offering, the Givelify Mobile Giving App. Together, they are dedicated to bringing joy and fulfillment into people's lives through beautiful, frictionless giving experiences

The Senior Software Engineering Manager will get to:

• Own the Giving Experience Team’s strategic technology roadmap and collaborate with Technology Leadership to help drive the overall Technology vision for Givelify
• Lead the Giving Experience Team’s end-to-end product development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance, ensuring timely delivery of projects
• Own the technical direction and architectural decisions to ensure software systems' scalability, reliability, and maintainability in the Giving Experience
• Ensure that the quality of software products in your domain and adheres to Givelify’s high bar of engineering quality and design excellence
• Recruit, onboard, grow, and set up engineering teams for success. Mentor and grow future leaders

To be successful in this role, you’ll also:

• Champion engineering best practices, standards, and processes, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact and making recommendations for adoption when appropriate
• Build a culture of engineering excellence focusing on usability, performance, scalability, reliability, and security
• Foster a collaborative, fast-paced, cross-functional culture
• Represent Givelify at conferences, talks, presentations

Your experience:

• B.S./ M.S./Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent STEM degree  
• 7+ years of experience building and architecting APIs and other systems that allow Android, iOS, or IoT systems to operate on scale with high levels of autonomy and reliability
• Experience planning, executing, and delivering projects with multiple engineers in an agile cross-functional environment 
• Proven track record of building products that allow extreme availability for millions of users
