About the role

About Faire

Faire is an online wholesale marketplace built on the belief that the future is local — independent retailers around the globe are doing more revenue than Walmart and Amazon combined, but individually, they are small compared to these massive entities. At Faire, we're using the power of tech, data, and machine learning to connect this thriving community of entrepreneurs across the globe. Picture your favorite boutique in town — we help them discover the best products from around the world to sell in their stores. With the right tools and insights, we believe that we can level the playing field so that small businesses everywhere can compete with these big box and e-commerce giants.

By supporting the growth of independent businesses, Faire is driving positive economic impact in local communities, globally. We’re looking for smart, resourceful and passionate people to join us as we power the shop local movement. If you believe in community, come join ours.

About this role

Research is crucial to our ability to achieve our mission and serve our customers. It allows us to answer key questions ranging from what our biggest opportunities are to how to accurately solve a problem with a new feature. At Faire, we have a distributed research model where both researchers and non-researchers across the company conduct research by interviewing customers, developing surveys, and conducting studies through a variety of other research methodologies. Research at Faire is truly a company-wide effort - to make this possible, we rely on our Research Operations team to build and run the tools and systems necessary to enable everyone at Faire to conduct research.

We’re looking for a Research Operations Program Manager to shape and scale the systems that power research at Faire — with a focus on implementing innovative, AI-driven solutions. In this role, you’ll partner across Research, Product, Design, Strategy, and other functions to build programs that enable every team to generate insights with speed, rigor, and impact.

What you’ll do

  • Identify, evaluate, and introduce new research tools — including AI-driven solutions — to increase efficiency and expand research capacity.
  • Manage and improve participant management systems, including panels and rolling programs, to enable recurring, high-quality research engagement.
  • Coordinate survey launches, prevent conflicts, and support setup/testing for priority studies to ensure data quality.
  • Establish and maintain protocols for research data compliance.
  • Promote and support research as a practice across the company, enabling teams to generate insights with rigor and confidence.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of program management or related experience
  • 4+ years of experience in Research Operations
  • Proficiency with SQL, Qualtrics (or comparable tool), and Excel/GoogleSheets.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI and automation to improve workflows and unlock new capabilities.
  • Ability to understand and solve complex technical problems, develop new capabilities, and assess and implement external tools.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and support others in learning new systems.
  • Experience creating measurable impact by designing and scaling systems or programs.
  • Ability to create goals and projections to measure the impact of your programs and developments.
  • Open to change and enthusiastic about developing new initiatives
