THIS IS A PART-TIME YEAR-ROUND POSITION.  Hours will be vary from 20-28 hours per week. Normally, will average around 6 hours/day. May be less in slower winter season.

Job purpose

Warehouse and Delivery Associates are responsible for coordinating and participating in the receipt, storage, loading and unloading, inventory of HVAC/R products/equipment local delivery to our customers. The percentage of time performing delivery and warehouse duties varies by location and based on seasonality and business needs.  


Duties and responsibilities

• Attendance and able to work all scheduled shifts with occasional unplanned absences only

• Drives vehicles for the purpose of transporting orders and materials to designated sites.

• Loads delivery vehicles for the purpose of ensuring that all items and supplies are properly secured.

• Maintains and cleans warehouse facilities as assigned for the purpose of keeping them in orderly, clean and safe condition.

• Maintains vehicles (e.g. checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safe operation of vehicle.

• Participates in physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses.

• Prepares orders by pulling from stock for the purpose of meeting delivery requirements.

• Receives stock and non-stock items for the purpose of ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct and/or inspecting items for damage.

• Responds to inquiries from inside/counter personnel or management for the purpose of providing information and/or direction regarding the status of deliveries, and/or reporting discrepancies to appropriate personnel.

• Stocks equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining required inventory levels.

• Unloads items for the purpose of distributing shipment to assigned site locations and/or individuals.

• Conducts physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses.

• Has basic skills in an analytical or operational process.

• Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and adheres to quality guidelines

• Other duties may be assigned depending on business needs at the branch.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent required
  • Valid drivers license with clear DMV record
  • 1 or more years of previous delivery driving and warehouse experience.
  • Forklift certification preferred but not required
  • Has basic skills in an analytical or operational process.
  • Behavioral and cognitive assessment must be completed to determine preliminary baseline for suitability.
  • Customer service orientation
  • Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Proactive work ethic looking for process improvements once fully trained.
  • Attendance record must be exemplary in prior positions.
