Responsibilities

Job DescriptionKeysight is looking for a college student who has a passion for emerging changes in the world of technology. As a support technician you will be helping Keysight employees in adopting our vastly changing productivity platforms by providing hands-on, face-to-face training and problem solving with everything from iPhones to laptops. This role primarily focuses on software applications and helping users gain knowledge about how to better use our internal resources and platforms including Microsoft Office 365 cloud, Success Factors, Comaround (Knowledge Management), Concur, etc. as well as be able to fix issues when things don’t go so smoothly.

 

This job is an IT entry level part-time job-sharing program with one to two other people that is planned to continue through the school year. This is an onsite role and Interns will be expected to work a portion of their time onsite at our Santa Rosa CA headquarters. This position will give you an opportunity to work with and grow your technology expertise working in alongside top Technology engineers before you graduate.

 

Key Responsibilities• Strong people skills and a knack for problem solving.• Ability to maintain composure and customer focus while troubleshooting and solving technical issues.• Ability to adhere to a schedule of customer appointments.

Qualifications

Desired Skills and Knowledge• Customer Service mentality• Good communication and listening skills.• Understanding of different hardware and software platforms from iOS to Android, Windows, and Mac OS.• Knowledgeable about the Microsoft environment on both Mobile and PC platforms.• Excellent people skills, able to articulate your knowledge and experience to users for best practices, tips, tricks, and insights.• Audio visual experience (Bluetooth, audio settings in the operating system, headsets, soft phone services, etc.)• Experience with collaboration platforms (Skype for Business, Teams, Zoom, etc.)• Knowledge and experience using Microsoft and Mac command line interfaces.• General understanding of Microsoft ActiveSync and Active Directory Architecture.

Currently enrolled in college with a CS or Information Systems major. May consider business majors with a concentration in Information Systems.

 

Keysight Internship Program Requirements

Candidates who wish to be considered must be enrolled in a accredited college/university as of September 2024. Applicants who have graduated before September 2024 will not be considered unless they are entering/applying to a MS or PHD program after graduating.

 

Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position. Candidates who now or at any point in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B Visa status) may not be considered.

 

California Pay Range: $31.00 - $40.50  

Based on experience, education and skills, most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed above.
