Description
The Senior Financial Analyst is the lead liaison between the Dry Bulk Transport Finance Director, VP of Maintenance and the VP of Global Logistics for all financial reporting for the company-wide fleet maintenance program, as well as the global logistics brokerage business. The incumbent is responsible for informing decisions about maintenance spend, global logistics performance, developing budgets, and generating month-end journal entries and overall financial reporting. The incumbent functions as a team leader in financial operations and maintains close cross-functional relationships with A&R Logistics locations, accounting, finance and with the senior operations leadership.

Summary of Essential Job Functions
- This job will report to the Finance Director of Dry Bulk Transport and is a dual reporting role for fleet maintenance (70%) and global logistics (30%).
The duties include the following and any others as assigned by current manager:
- Prepare fleet maintenance cost projections and generate reports daily, weekly, monthly
- Analyze brokerage customer trend data and report the top 10 customer activity drivers monthly
- Present business insights, data, and KPI&s to team members and senior operations leadership to drive strategic decisions
- Prepare month-end reclass journal entries and accruals
- Create the budget, develop analysis, and present to management
- Conduct variance analysis and month-end Board Note and slide deck
- Develop weekly revenue flash
- Complete the margin report monthly Identify, implement, and lead process improvement initiatives
- Translate data into actionable insights Ad hoc analysis and reporting
- Establish and maintain close relationships with field operations, finance, accounting and senior operations leadership
Minimum requirements
- 7 years of experience in Finance
- MBA in Finance or Business Management or similar discipline
- Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics or Transport environment
- SQL, Access and Business Intelligence experience
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently
- Demonstrate comfort with uncertainty or ambiguity and exhibit a bias for action
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organized and can prioritize tasks and multitask
- Detail oriented and focused on accuracy
- Ability to analyze complex data and report findings/trends and provide recommendations
- Computer proficiency, Microsoft products, and the ability to quickly learn new applications
- Takes initiative and has strong follow though skills
- Ability to stay calm, positive, helpful and optimistic in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
Preferences
- Strong understanding or experience with fleet maintenance and brokerage reporting
- Willingness to learn Great Plains, TMT, and TMW
- Ability to analyze financial data and performance metrics to serve as a finance business partner to the operations team
