Major Duties :1. Analyzes and develops complex logical data base designs, data models and relational data base definitions in support of corporate and client area information systems requirements

2. Projects are medium to large in scope, typically cross-functional and technically difficult, often involving combinations of platforms and computing environments (e.g., host based, distributed systems, client server, Web, e-commerce) and technologies

3. Provides in-depth consulting to client and IT management and staff in the identification and resolution of information flow, content issues and the transformation of business requirements into relational data base definition

4. Acts as project leader and expert to lower level roles

5. Provides technical analysis of requirements necessary for the protection of all information processed, stored, or transmitted by systems

6. Takes a new perspective on existing solutions

7. Exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information

8. Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams

9. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

10. Works within broad guidelines and policies

Knowledge :• Requires excellent analytical ability, communication and consultative skills, strong judgment and problem analysis techniques, an in-depth knowledge of the business unit's functions and applications, and a broad knowledge of diverse data base technologies, tools and alternatives

• Ability to work effectively with clients and IT management and staff

• In-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines

• Applies best practices and how own area integrates with others

• Is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

• Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus

Experience :• A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required. Related industry qualifications preferred. 10 to 15 years of work experience is preferred.

• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience;

• May lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
