Sr. Manager, Local Master Data Governance is a position accountable to provide leadership in local master data processes working in full partnership across business divisions and functions with the main objective to ensure master data is complete, accurate, and sustainable to conduct reliable and efficient business operations. 

 

Primary Responsibilities – What You’ll Do

• Support Data Management strategy in ensuring data is used as a strategic asset across the enterprise, and particularly for local master data practices across the organization. 
• Partner with divisions, functions and global master data services and master data owners to design and implement local master data processes and procedures to operate business with quality and reliability. 
• Working with the local master data Integration Team (local master data functional owners) to develop local master data governance objectives, processes and training for each functional area in alignment with the organizational strategy and priorities.
• Define, develop, and implement key performance indicators for local master data management, and drive adoption and improvements across business divisions and functions. 
• Lead the local master data governance Integration Team to ensure every function has well defined scope, executional processes and master data metrics that are tracked and reported on a regular cycle. 
• Engage and integrate the global master data services team to leverage and adopt best practices. Identify opportunities for automation for local master data creation, validation, and testing. 
• In partnership with the Integration Team to document, assess and prepare recommendations for implementation that will lead for new processes, capabilities and/or resolution of local master data issues.
• Prepare, communicates, and executes the local master data Integration Team stand-up meetings and Local Master Data Steering Committee meetings to present status on action plans, results, challenges and issues, and recommendations.
• Lead the preparation and reviews of local master data program and results with the Local Master Data Steering Committee, and Data Governance Council. 
• Enhance local master data governance practices and tools to enable future scale and improve enterprise-wide engagement.
• Serve as a point of escalation for local master data Integration team into the Local Master Data Steering Committee. 

 

Your Team – Who You’ll Work With

• Work with Managers, Directors & VPs of business functions and Enterprise Analytics in the execution of the local master data program, and particularly to lead and drive for accountability to their local maser data responsibilities and identify action items.
• Engage and collaborate with functional master data leaders in the Integration Team, global master data service leaders, Data Management team to leverage best practices and capabilities available to maximize local master data quality, reliability, and sustainability across all business functions. 

Skills & Competencies:

• Demonstrable capability and experience in planning, implementing and maintenance of local master data systems and processes across business units and functions
• Develop, administrate and lead local maser data program to ensure business objective sand technical solutions for reliable business operations
• Experience in data governance concepts, and data governance implementations
• Ability to communicate data strategy and governance policies to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong leadership engagement, communications and negotiation skills to guide, influence and convince others on data strate
