Job Title: General Ledger Staff Accountant

Job Summary:

Senior Management Advisors is seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical General Ledger Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, reconciling account balances, preparing month-end close procedures, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update the general ledger by posting journal entries and ensuring the accuracy of financial data

• Reconcile account balances, including bank statements, intercompany transactions, and other general ledger accounts

• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing adjusting entries, accruals, and financial statements

• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies and procedures

• Assist with audits and other financial reporting requirements

• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• 3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
