The Customer Service Specialist plays a crucial role in managing customer orders and ensuring timely and accurate shipments to meet customer demand. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, warehouse teams, and internal departments to maintain seamless communication and improve on-time delivery performance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while driving process improvements.

AS A CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST, YOU WILL:

  • Utilize Oracle ERP to enter, ship, and manage customer orders.
  • Plan and coordinate shipments to meet customer requirements while optimizing logistics efficiency.
  • Plan truck shipments to multiple customer locations.
  • Schedule Warehouse operations to single-pack orders.
  • Act as a primary communication channel between customers, warehouse teams, and management, ensuring clear and accurate information flow.
  • Maintain accurate delivery performance records, tracking key metrics and reporting discrepancies.
  • Organize and manage material records, including electronic and physical documentation (packing slips, Bills of Lading, etc.).
  • Collaborate with Material Analysts, Master Scheduling, Warehousing, Production, and Engineering Change personnel to support on-time customer deliveries.
  • Work with third-party logistics providers to set up and track shipments, utilizing relevant portals and carrier systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to order management and logistics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of direct customer service experience in an order entry-to-shipment environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to function effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated team player with excellent organizational abilities.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or Ultriva.
  • 3-5 years of direct customer service experience in an order entry-to-shipment environment.

About Our Location
Alliance Compressors LLC develops, manufactures, and markets one through six-ton scroll compressors. Scroll compressors are used in commercial and residential air conditioning units. The current facility is over 365,000 square feet of manufacturing space and over 35,000 square feet of office space. This climate-controlled facility is the third-largest manufacturing business in the area, and offers its 600+ employees many opportunities for advancement.
