Job Description
Semiconductors are far more than tomorrow’s key technology. They are our core business – already today. Get on board and join us on this journey. Become part of an inspiring team at Bosch committed to develop leading-edge ASICs and SoCs. For innovating sustainable, safe and fascinating solutions for the mobility of tomorrow.
- Intelligent engine control, airbags or even the ESP system - all this and more is controlled by our smart microchips (ASICS). Because the semiconductor chips are so intelligent, we could also call them the brains of the sensors and actuators installed in the car. And now we're looking for a project manager to work with us on ASIC design projects to make cars even smarter - maybe you?
- Whether developing innovative ASICS or managing projects - this job requires your expertise on both sides: our microelectronics are not only developed in-house, but also by third-party service providers. As a project manager you will act as a link between third-party suppliers and designers, system engineers, verification, firmware- and post-silicon teams in a close cross-functional collaboration.
- Because you have a deep technical understanding of the subject, you define the requirements for the ASIC designs together with your colleagues and coordinate them with external service providers. Of course, you will be in constant communication with all parties involved in the context of milestones, delivery schedules and design reviews and you will keep the project threads together.
- You evaluate the work results of the third-party providers and adapt them to the respective use case. You will also develop integration concepts for various modules and support the design teams during integration. But that's not all: if required, you will also develop your own designs.
- Last but not least, you will ensure that we can scale our microelectronics by developing modular platforms and advising other ASIC teams on modular development. This enables us to implement domain-specific SoCs flexibly and efficiently across the Bosch Automotive product portfolio.
Qualifications
- Education: completed university studies (Master/Diploma/PhD) in electrical engineering, preferably with focus on microelectronics or a comparable subject
- Personality and working style: as a project manager you are very good at bringing together different opinions and ideas of project participants (third-party service providers from the European region, own colleagues) as well as quickly grasping the facts in complex projects
- Experience and know-how: experience in technical project management, good understanding of the ASIC design concept (analog but also digital) as well as implementation, integration and verification of ASICs, programming expertise and scripting (e.g. Python, TCL)
- Languages: very good English skills, German is a plus
