Role Description: Accounts Receivable Specialist 
Role Purpose:  
Wasabi Technologies, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team and report directly to the Team Lead, Accounts Receivable. The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for various cycles within the Finance department, including but not limited to processing bill payments and accounting for all accounts receivable processing. The candidate will be self-motivated, detail oriented and a team-player capable of taking on various aspects of Finance support within the department with increasing responsibility as the company continues to grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily application of ACH/wire payments, checks and credit card payments.
  • Respond to various billing and AR support requests; editing invoice information, remove tax, credit/rebill, payment issues, etc. 
  • Communicate effectively with vendors; provide statements and process refunds.
  • Send daily reminder emails to customers with overdue balances.
  • Refer the AR Aging report and open invoice report to track past due invoices.
  • Prepare various monthly account reconciliations as part of our month-end close process, ensuring all balances have appropriate support and agree to the general ledger. 
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as required and assist in other duties as assigned, commensurate with the level and scope of the position. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. 
  • 2+ years of Software industry and start-up environment experience with exposure to SaaS and/or recurring revenue model. 
  • Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). 
  • Must be detail oriented, attentive to deadlines, strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Must have strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work under deadlines. 
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively within the Finance team, with customers/vendors and with other departments. 
  • Experience with Netsuite accounting software preferred. 
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus. 
  • Expertise in office productivity software (such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
