Social Media Content Manager
Good Party.org is looking for an engagement-obsessed Social Media Content Manager to bring our mission to life through written content across all social channels, especially X and LinkedIn. If you also have experience with or a strong interest in political campaigns and a desire to disrupt the two-party system, this role is your opportunity to make a real impact.
About GoodParty.org:
GoodParty.org is on a mission to make people matter more than money in our democracy by empowering independent candidates to run, win, and serve in elected office. Our AI-powered platform provides free tools to thousands of civic heroes — who are challenging the status quo as independent candidates — to run their campaigns, connect with voters, and serve their communities effectively.
A majority of eligible voters, including more than half of Millennials and Gen Z, say that neither Republicans nor Democrats represent them. GoodParty.org is the solution. In 2024 we empowered 3,444 independent candidate wins across 48 states from all across the ideological spectrum. The only things our elected officials have in common is that they prioritize people over parties and community over corporate interests. In 2024, 40.3 million votes (26% of all voters) cast a ballot for our candidates. We’re not a political party; we’re a platform and a movement to democratize democracy.
Founded by serial entrepreneur Farhad Mohit ($1B+ in exits, including Flipagram/TikTok and Shopzilla), GoodParty.org is building solutions so we can have a truly representative democracy where society’s biggest problems are solved.
What you’ll do:
Create content and calls to action that drive candidates to become users of our tools and active in our movement.
Create and own written content across all social channels, including X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Leverage your skills and AI tools to write short-form and long-form posts, static posts, replies, captions, and video scripts.
Own X and LinkedIn platforms, including content strategy, content calendar, performance, and results.
Interview candidates, elected officials, and subject matter experts to surface compelling stories, valuable information, and insights for cross-platform content.
Monitor performance and iterate on content based on analytics and trends, applying a test-and-learn approach to grow reach and engagement.
Partner with peer content team members on assets and campaigns.
Lead community management of comments. Spot engagement opportunities to help content spread further. Insert our movement into relevant conversations online.
Hold a high standard for our brand guidelines, messaging, and visual brand, ensuring cohesion and high-quality output.
Initially report to GoodParty.org’s Growth Director.
