Assoc Director-Cybersecurity

Job Description:

The selected candidate will lead and supervise a team of professionals who protect products, services, infrastructure, networks, and applications by implementing robust security measures, monitoring for threats, responding to incidents, and supporting innovation and strategic planning to safeguard data and assets for the company, our customers, and vendors.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• Deep understanding of firewall configurations, network segmentation, and secure routing protocols.
• Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and threat modeling.
• Strong grasp of secure software development practices and DevSecOps integration.

Cloud Security

• Advanced knowledge of Azure cloud security architecture, including identity and access management, policy enforcement, and workload protection.
• Experience implementing cloud-native security controls and automation frameworks.

Compliance & Governance

• In-depth familiarity with PCI-DSS, NIST, ISO 27001, and other regulatory frameworks.
• Proven experience supporting internal and external audits, including evidence gathering and remediation planning.

Leadership & Management

• Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional security teams, including architects and software engineers.
• Ability to set strategic direction, prioritize initiatives, and manage resource allocation effectively.
• Skilled in mentoring and developing talent across technical and non-technical roles.

Tooling & Automation

• Experience overseeing the development and deployment of custom security tools and automation pipelines.
• Familiarity with scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Go) used in security tooling.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree (MS/MA) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity architecture and engineering.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM
• Experience managing large-scale firewall environments and high-volume request processes.

Our Assoc Director-Cybersecurity earns between $155,400-$233,200 USD Annual Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
