Senior Director, Health Policy & Reimbursement

JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Director, Policy & Reimbursement will lead Novocure’s strategy and implementation for plans to secure coding, coverage and reimbursement for Novocure’s products.
The Senior Director, Policy & Reimbursement will report to the Vice President, Public Affairs. This is a full-time, exempt, remote role tied to the Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Health Policy
Develop, execute, and lead public policy strategies that align with Novocure's US business goals. Analyze and respond to regulatory proposals, including those from CMS and other relevant agencies. Collaborate closely with the Government Affairs team to shape government priorities and provide strategic support for initiatives. Oversee the preparation of persuasive policy documents, briefings, and presentations. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key external stakeholders, including HHS, trade associations, think tanks, and more. Clearly communicate Novocure's positions on critical issues to federal agencies and external stakeholders, positioning the company and its executives as thought leaders in healthcare policy and advocacy.
Commercial Coverage Strategy
Develop and lead the comprehensive coverage strategy for Novocure's portfolio of therapies in the United States. Collaborate with executive leadership and the Director of Payer Contracting and Relationship Management to build and maintain strong relationships with national health insurance providers. Create and execute strategies to maximize coverage of Novocure's products among commercial payors in US markets, working closely with Medical, Commercial, and Revenue Operations teams. Collaborate with Clinical teams to inform evidence development strategies necessary to secure coverage and reimbursement. Support the US clinical guidelines and pathways strategy by engaging internal and external stakeholders. Evaluate opportunities to secure physician reimbursement for services related to Novocure's technologies, including treatment planning, simulation, and patient management.
Government Payor Contracting & Coverage
Together with executive leadership, lead governmental payer coverage, contracting, payment submissions, and contract management. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key government payors, such as Medicare, Medicaid, and the Department of Veterans Affairs, to ensure optimal reimbursement and coverage for Novocure's therapies. Lead the submission, pull-through efforts, and contract management associated with Medicare, State Medicaid, Veterans Affairs, and other government payers in the US.
These responsibilities are integral to our mission of improving access to innovative technology in Oncology and ensuring the success of Novocure in the dynamic healthcare landscape.
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

Bachelor’s Degree is required, with a preference for a Master's or Professional degree in relevant fields.

10-12 years of progressive experience in health policy, market access, or similar roles.

Expertise in coding, coverage, and payment for medical device technology.

Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.

Profound understanding of the US healthcare system, payor economics, and policy trends.
